Celebrating Earth Week! ๐ŸŒŽ

Message From

Hello Briarwood Community,

We are excited to celebrate Earth Week at Briarwood from April 20–24! This is a special opportunity for our students to learn about caring for our planet and to take small actions that make a big difference.

5th graders have planned spirit days for this week, to help us show our commitment to the Earth:

  • Monday (4/20): Wear blue to represent water ๐Ÿ’ง
  • Tuesday (4/21): Wear Briarwood spirit wearBriarwood Bears take care of the environment! ๐Ÿป
  • Wednesday (4/22): Earth Day! Wear brown, blue, and green ๐ŸŒฑ
  • Thursday (4/23): Animal Day – wear something with an animal on it ๐Ÿพ
  • Friday (4/24): Team Day – teams work together to help the Earth ๐Ÿค

On Wednesday (Earth Day), we’ll also have a special focus during lunch. Staff and student leaders will support students in sorting their waste correctly into recycling, compost, and garbage bins—helping build habits that protect our environment every day.

How Families Can Join In ๐ŸŒ

  • โ™ป๏ธ Practice sorting recycling and compost together
  • ๐Ÿšถ‍โ™€๏ธ Walk, bike, or carpool when possible
  • ๐Ÿ’ก Turn off lights and electronics when not in use
  • ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Use reusable bags, water bottles, and containers
  • ๐ŸŒฟ Spend time outdoors and talk about ways to care for nature
  • ๐Ÿงน Do a quick neighborhood or park clean-up as a family

Small actions add up to big impact, and together we can help our students become thoughtful stewards of our planet.

Thank you for supporting Earth Week at Briarwood!
