Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year!

Briarwood Bears,

On behalf of the entire staff here at Briarwood Elementary School, WELCOME! Seeing students on campus, we know they are excited about learning and we hope that each family finds a way to connect with the school to continue this excitement throughout the year.

I know that everyone is busy these days, so I just wanted to take a brief moment to share some family involvement opportunities you may want to note on your calendars:

  • Briarwood Office Opens: 8/5 8:30-4:30
  • Enrollment Verification Process (EVP) – required for all families: 8/7-8/13
  • Meet the Teacher: Preschool - 5th grade – 8/27 at
    • 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. for Grades Preschool-2 and
    • 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. for Grades 3-5
    • Different this year: No individual photos taken on Meet the Teacher Day
  • TK/Kindergarten/1st Grade Curriculum Night: 8/27 6:00 p.m.
  • First Day of School: 8/28 for 1st-12th Grade 9:15-3:40
  • Labor Day – No School: 9/1
  • First Day of ECE/Kindergarten: 9/3
    • ECEAP and TK have a staggered start
  • 2nd - 5th Grade Curriculum Night: 9/4 at
    • 5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. for Grades 4-5
    • 6:15 p.m. – 6:35 p.m. Admin Presentation in MPR
    • 6:35 p.m. – 7:20 p.m. for Grades 2-3
  • Individual Pictures: 9/16
  • Retake Pictures: 10/16
  • Parent Teacher Conferences: 11/12 and 11/13

Finally, I just want to thank you for being a partner in your child’s education. We appreciate your support and encourage you to go to our website to find district and site-specific information throughout the year. Additionally, families are encouraged to sign up for the weekly bulletin to receive communication from school.
