Briarwood Celebrates Veterans Day!

Veterans smile for the camera in front of the American Flag at the assembly

On Tuesday, November 7, Briarwood Elementary held a Veterans Day assembly to honor those who served in the military. Veterans were invited to the assembly for the students and staff to honor them. Principal Tia Kleinkopf opened the assembly with a few words and invited five fifth grade leaders to speak.

One of Briarwoods music teachers, Reanne Nakapaahu then led the students in a song called Thanks to You, and the Armed Forces Medley. As the assembly ended, the flags were retired, and veterans lined the hallways so the students and staff could thank them.
